Fear the Spear

Who would have ever thought that I would be the biggest football fan in the world?

I know it's hard to believe.

But what can I say, I am obsessed. (OBSESSED)

My love for football has grown over time. I hated football for the longest time. I never thought anything of it. I mean all I thought they did was, "Down. Set. Hut hut. Hike." Throw the football. Run before getting thrown to the ground by another guy in a different shirt. It was stupid. One Super Bowl Sunday, I saw the light. I didn't just watch the commercials. I watched the guys rough up on each other and I liked it. Shocker. I remember coming home after halftime and I turned the football game back on. From then on, my world changed and I found my love for football.

I am more of a college football girl than I am NFL. I mean I like the NFL and all but nothing compares to hearing the fight song played by the marching band after they get a touchdown.

I am a die hard Florida State freak.

I yell at my tv for all college games but I am a different person when my Noles are on. You are not allowed to talk to me. It's just me and my team.

Well. I don't know if you have heard but there is this little game going on tomorrow night in Pasadena, CA. It's the 2014 National BCS Championship and my Noles are playing to go home with a crystal football.

Lord have mercy, I am freaking out. I am so ready for the Seminoles to show everyone what they are made of and give everyone garnet and gold fever.

I am wearing my school pride tomorrow and Tuesday no matter what the score. Here are a few ideas I was playing around with. (Here is another outfit idea too from an earlier post)

Logo Pride

Fear the Spear

Wear your colors and school name with pride.
Garnet skinny jeans, school shirt, FSU cowboy boots, gold accessories and a fringe crossbody purse.

Dress up College Colors
For the girls who want to dress up with plastering their team mascot all over their body. No need to rush out to the school store to buy the latest and greatest t-shirt. Garnet dress, Jean jacket (worn open and with sleeves rolled up), spear bracelet, garnet earrings, gold sandals, leopard wristlet, and gold nails.

Show off your school pride and GO NOLES!!!!!!

Bring that beautiful trophy back to Tally!

New Year. New things to come

Where did the time go? I feel like just yesterday it was Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas. Time goes by so fast.

In the spirit of the New Year, I am going to try to get back on the blogging track and make 2014 the best year yet.

Lots of stuff happened in 2013. I was laid off from my job. Went on job interview after job interview to only be told I was overqualified or didn't have enough experience to do jobs I felt more than qualified to do. I had a job fall into my lap that helped me get back on my feet and give me my confidence back, even when it was not in my field.

I had ups and downs just like everyone else. I learned a lot about myself and what I want for my life and the future to come. I know that I was put through all of those things for a reason.

I know that I have a purpose in this world and I am doing my best everyday to find and be the best Haley I can be for the new year and for the years to come.

My goals for 2014:
  • Blog more. Set time to sit and write whatever comes to mind good or bad.
  • Walk more AND eat whatever I want. I don't care what you say if I see chocolate or Cheetos I am going to eat it. Why? Because chocolate and Cheetos are the bomb and everyone knows it.
  • Learn more about my fancy dancy camera and figure out how to start a photography business (Follow me on Instagram to see)
  • Go on an adventure
  • Shop more
  • Watch the One Direction movie. (Oh yes I will. Get over it)
  • Straighten my hair and not be lazy with my hair routine in the mornings  (You are welcome mother)
  • Spend time with the people who I love and care for the most and make me happy because I no longer have the energy for meaningless friendships, forced interactions or unnecessary conversations.
  • Relax more and be critical less. (PSSSSST Like that will happen)
  • WATCH FSU WIN THE 2014 BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

There you have my goals for the year to come. What are yours? Do you even bother making them or do you not make one cause you know you will break them? Comment and let me know.

Have a great 2014. Make it awesome!

Who are you wearing? 2013 Emmy Awards

The best part about any award show is always the red carpet beforehand.
When there is an award show, I am sitting by my TV eagerly awaiting the arrival of the stars.
Sunday night was the night that we award the best of the silver screen.
Time for a fashion recap of the best of the 2013 Emmy Awards.
Here were the biggest trends of the night...

Now that we know the trends of night, let's see who really pulled them off and who needs to fire their stylist...immediately!

Time for Best and Worst Dressed!
(Let's do this)

The Award for MOST improved goes to...

Tina Fey
FINALLY some color. This dress was a vast improvement from the normal black.

Best Dressed

Christina Hendricks
Leave it to the girl who I have had my ups and downs with for years to kill it. This Christian Siriano gown is perfection on her. I'll be the first to admit, I wasn't blown away by it when I first saw the dress on the carpet but looking through all pictures trying to decide who was my best dressed, I kept coming back to her. Her figure is to die for in this dress. I love the lace throughout and her hair and makeup just make everything complete. Perfection!

Derek Hough
One Word. Handsome.

Worst Dressed

Claire Danes
Easiest decision by a mile. HORRIBLE. Anyone who thinks that this dress was acceptable is in pure denial. This was disgraceful. The color is awful for her skin tone. Without the red lip, she would basically look like she was walking around naked. Can we also talk about the fit? PULL UP YOUR DRESS. NO. Better yet don't wear a dress that is meant for a girl with boobs. Don't even get me started on that faux bob!!!!

Jon Hamm
As much as this pains me but dude ever heard of a little thing called a razor? Buy one. Better yet hire some guy to just do it for you. I am sure you would have no problem finding people.

Who else watched? Who did you think deserved Best/Worst Dressed?

I am so excited to find out that my girl from Beauty and More :), nominated me for...(sound the horns) The Liebester award.

Don't know what it is??

Now onto the fun stuff...
