Beauty Thursday: Mascara

Mascara is one of those products that I can't leave my house without.

I look naked without it on. I feel naked without having it on. My face looks dead without it on. Needless to say, I must have mascara.

I  have a vanity drawer full of mascara. But why do you need a drawer full of mascara? Let me explain.

All different mascaras do different things. OBVIOUSLY! I like to have a wide variety to choose from depending on what I am wearing and what the rest of my make up looks like. I may want my lashes look like they can enter a talent show for their ability to touch my eyebrows. I may want them to look full, natural, etc. I can guarantee you I have a mascara that can probably do back flips if I wanted.

Here are some of my favorites:
  1. L'oreal Voluminous Carbon Black: Makes me look like I am wear false lashes every time
  2. L'oreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara: I use this mascara a lot with other mascaras. Gets the volume without a lot of bulk so I can use another mascara on top if I wanted.
  3. L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes : The brush is AUH-MAZING!
  4. Maybelline Full & Soft : Use this when I don't want to look like I am wearing makeup.
  5. Covergirl Clump Crusher: I can use a many coats of this mascara and it won't ever clump. You go clump crusher!
  6. Maybelline Illegal Length : Eyelashes touch my eyebrows every time I use it!
I love to layer mascaras to make my lashes look fuller and bigger. Sometimes when I use multiple coats of the same mascara it look really heavy, clumpy and just flat out gross. But when I layer different mascaras, I get really voluminous lashes without the bulk.

One of my favorite tips for mascara is at the very end of applying let it dry a couple of seconds, then put more mascara on the base of your lash line. Just put the brush at the end of your lash line and while keeping your hand still, blink a couple of times to get the mascara right on the base of your lashes.  This give the impression of thick lashes and can give the impression that you are wearing false lashes. I do this every time I apply mascara no matter the brand.

What are your favorite mascaras?

Happy Friday-eve!!!

Leather and Hardware

Leather and lace may be nice but let's be honest.

Leather looks cooler with a whole bunch of gold/black accessories.

Leather and Hardware

When shopping look for trendy pieces that can be paired with staple pieces. This look is a great example of how to mix trendy with the everyday.

Leather leggings are the hottest item for fall/winter. Mix your leggings with a fun peter pan collar button down. Then get a basic sweater that you have in your closet and layer it with the peter pan shirt by tucking everything else in and leaving the collar out for statement.. If you don't have a regular plain old sweater in your closet you simply are not a girl. (There I said it). Shoes, bag, hair in a bun and you are out the door.

The best part about this entire outfit, is that everything is from H&M.

Can't beat one stop shopping.

Black white red all over

Everyone has a personal style.

Mine is very classic.
Boring? Maybe. Do I care? Heck No!

Black white red all over

Black, White and Red are my signature colors. Half of my closet is black. Typical.

I love basic shapes and silhouettes like wide leg trousers, and A line skirts/dresses. You can thank Stacy and Clinton for that.

But the best part about all my outfits is the fun nail color and signature scent (can't go wrong with a little Love Spell)
