Who are they Wearing? 2014 Grammy Awards Fashion Recap

Did Lorde cast a spell over the audience during her performance? Yes.
Did they really have to put The Bachelor Wedding the same night as the Grammy's? Yes.
Did every man who walked the red carpet honestly have to wear a blue tux? Yes
Did the red carpet bore me to the point of tears? Yes.
Did I watch YouTube videos most of the red carpet? Yes.

Get the picture.

I have never been so disappointed in a red carpet show in ALL MY LIFE!

It was not only boring, lifeless, and blood suckingly awful but the fashion was just gross.

Part of me thought that I shouldn't even give out a best dressed title it was that bad.

But I digress...
BLUE...Blue and MORE Blue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GET THE PICTURE!
(Newsflash if I see another blue tux at The Oscars I will check myself into a mental hospital.
You have been warned)

Now for the best and worst dressed of the night.
(This will be an easy decision)

Best Dressed
Christine Teigen
One word...PERFECTION.
Kevin Hart
Something about this I really like. Oh maybe the fact that it is NOT A BLUE SUIT.
#MindBlown.

Worst Dressed
Katy Perry
Glenda the good witch decided she needed to spread some musical love to the Grammy's tonight

Pharrell
Harry Potter's Hat and Smokey the Bear's Hat made a baby

See you next month for the best day of the year, Oscar Sunday.

Who are you wearing? 2014 SAG Awards

I have sinned. I am so ashamed. I hope you can forgive me.

I missed watching the 2014 SAG Awards.

I was not sick. I had made plans weeks ago without checking the award show schedule. It's so shameful. I don't know how in the world I can live with myself.

(FOR YEARS THE SHOW HAS BEEN 2 WEEKS AFTER THE GOLDEN GLOBES ON SUNDAY....HOW CAN THEY CHANGE IT THE ONE YEAR I MADE PLANS?!?!?!)

But have no fear my fellow award show/red carpet junkies, I have caught up and am fully prepared to give the fashion recap of the 2014 SAG Awards.

Ruby. Sapphire. Emerald.

Black with gold beading or embroidery was a huge trend on the red carpet.

Forget Orange is the new black.
It's all about blue. Even men like James Marsden picked up on the blue trend with his tux.

Now that we know the trends of night, let's see who really pulled them off and who needs to fire their stylist...immediately!

Time for Best and Worst Dressed!
(Let's do this)

Most Improved

Jared Leto
No more messy pony bun thing. Scarf out of here.
The tux is much more streamlined for his tall slim frame. I wish he had on a black bow tie to bring it all together but this is much better than last week.
The best I have seen him at an award show.

Best Dressed
Malin Akerman
I don't care what anyone thinks about this dress.
This was by far my favorite of the night. Get over it!

Aaron Paul.
One word. Shoes.

Worst Dressed
(It's a tie!)
Cate Blanchette
The hair. The tent. The sequins. Matching Sequin bracelet.
No. ALL NO! JUST PLAIN NO.

Kerry Washington
There is never a reason to wear a crop top and a circus tent skirt.

Matthew McConaughey
His speech was a "what the heck," moment and so is his outfit. As much as I applaud him for being different from all of the other men, that jacket is something even Hugh Hevner wouldn't even wear. Good try but better luck at the Oscars.

Who were you Best and Worst Dressed of The 2014 Screen Actor's Guild Awards???

Check out Facebook for a full fashion report.

Until the Grammys....
When is it again?!?!?! (Sunday, January 26)

Who are you wearing? 2014 Golden Globes

Live from the red carpet. It's the beginning of award season. Oh happy day.

First thing is first, thanks to Amanda from http://thecolorcodedlife.com/ for a super fun twitter party last night. I loved seeing everyone interact and get an idea of what everyone was thinking. I hope that we can do it again for the SAG Awards in a couple weeks. So get ready. It will only get better with time (like fine wine).

Before we go any further, can we please talk about the magic of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. They need to host every Golden Globes from no and forevermore. The End.

There really were no big surprises for me as to who won except that Brooklyn 99 killed the end of the Modern Family reign. It was a welcome change.

Now onto the important stuff......FASHION.

Let's talk trends...

Champagne Nude or Baby's Bottom nude.

How not to wear flowers on the Red Carpet.

Simple. Chic. Plain.

Snow White with a twist.

One is silver and the other is...

Now that we know the trends of night, let's see who really pulled them off and who needs to fire their stylist...immediately!

Time for Best and Worst Dressed!
(Let's do this)

Most Improved
Julianna Margulies
Thank God. She finally hired a new stylist. She has been looking awful lately and this was a welcome change compared to her recent red carpet appearances. Please don't make me think about them. I have burned them in my memory.

Best Dressed
Lupita Nyong'o
I know everyone is thinking, "how dare you not choose Cate Blanchett. But I can't get past Lupita's gorgeous skin against the color red. The cape makes this look complete. In my opinion she won the cape awards against Gwyneth Paltrow

Worst Dressed
Amy Adams
I was so bloody tired of looking at that ugly braided hair by the end of the night, I swore off braids. The dress wasn't cute. I didn't like the two tones on her especially against her skin tone. Too much skin was showing and it just wasn't cute. Sorry Amy but no. Get it right next time.

Best/Worst Man
                                   Chris Pine                                    Jared Leto
Scruff well maintained. Not a hair out of place. This men is how you groom for an award show. Take note Jared Leto.

Who else watched? Who did you think deserved Best/Worst Dressed?
Let's Talk. Hit me up on my Facebook Photo Album or Pinterest to tell me who were your best and worst dressed.

Fear the Spear

Who would have ever thought that I would be the biggest football fan in the world?

I know it's hard to believe.

But what can I say, I am obsessed. (OBSESSED)

My love for football has grown over time. I hated football for the longest time. I never thought anything of it. I mean all I thought they did was, "Down. Set. Hut hut. Hike." Throw the football. Run before getting thrown to the ground by another guy in a different shirt. It was stupid. One Super Bowl Sunday, I saw the light. I didn't just watch the commercials. I watched the guys rough up on each other and I liked it. Shocker. I remember coming home after halftime and I turned the football game back on. From then on, my world changed and I found my love for football.

I am more of a college football girl than I am NFL. I mean I like the NFL and all but nothing compares to hearing the fight song played by the marching band after they get a touchdown.

I am a die hard Florida State freak.

I yell at my tv for all college games but I am a different person when my Noles are on. You are not allowed to talk to me. It's just me and my team.

Well. I don't know if you have heard but there is this little game going on tomorrow night in Pasadena, CA. It's the 2014 National BCS Championship and my Noles are playing to go home with a crystal football.

Lord have mercy, I am freaking out. I am so ready for the Seminoles to show everyone what they are made of and give everyone garnet and gold fever.

I am wearing my school pride tomorrow and Tuesday no matter what the score. Here are a few ideas I was playing around with. (Here is another outfit idea too from an earlier post)

Logo Pride

Fear the Spear

Wear your colors and school name with pride.
Garnet skinny jeans, school shirt, FSU cowboy boots, gold accessories and a fringe crossbody purse.

Dress up College Colors
For the girls who want to dress up with plastering their team mascot all over their body. No need to rush out to the school store to buy the latest and greatest t-shirt. Garnet dress, Jean jacket (worn open and with sleeves rolled up), spear bracelet, garnet earrings, gold sandals, leopard wristlet, and gold nails.

Show off your school pride and GO NOLES!!!!!!

Bring that beautiful trophy back to Tally!

New Year. New things to come

Where did the time go? I feel like just yesterday it was Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas. Time goes by so fast.

In the spirit of the New Year, I am going to try to get back on the blogging track and make 2014 the best year yet.

Lots of stuff happened in 2013. I was laid off from my job. Went on job interview after job interview to only be told I was overqualified or didn't have enough experience to do jobs I felt more than qualified to do. I had a job fall into my lap that helped me get back on my feet and give me my confidence back, even when it was not in my field.

I had ups and downs just like everyone else. I learned a lot about myself and what I want for my life and the future to come. I know that I was put through all of those things for a reason.

I know that I have a purpose in this world and I am doing my best everyday to find and be the best Haley I can be for the new year and for the years to come.

My goals for 2014:
  • Blog more. Set time to sit and write whatever comes to mind good or bad.
  • Walk more AND eat whatever I want. I don't care what you say if I see chocolate or Cheetos I am going to eat it. Why? Because chocolate and Cheetos are the bomb and everyone knows it.
  • Learn more about my fancy dancy camera and figure out how to start a photography business (Follow me on Instagram to see)
  • Go on an adventure
  • Shop more
  • Watch the One Direction movie. (Oh yes I will. Get over it)
  • Straighten my hair and not be lazy with my hair routine in the mornings  (You are welcome mother)
  • Spend time with the people who I love and care for the most and make me happy because I no longer have the energy for meaningless friendships, forced interactions or unnecessary conversations.
  • Relax more and be critical less. (PSSSSST Like that will happen)
  • WATCH FSU WIN THE 2014 BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

There you have my goals for the year to come. What are yours? Do you even bother making them or do you not make one cause you know you will break them? Comment and let me know.

Have a great 2014. Make it awesome!
